A ride app with the driver and the city in it too.

The booking screen is the easy part. The harder parts are the driver app, onboarding, the live map your team watches and safety that works when it matters. We've built bike-taxi, carpool and rental products, and all of them start from those harder parts.

Live build: Hoppr · Bike taxi

Who it's for

If this sounds like you.

  • Bike-taxi, auto and cab startups launching in one city
  • Corporate and intercity carpool services
  • Scooter and car rental businesses in tourist towns
  • Fleet owners who want their own booking app

Every side of the product

4 apps, one system.

Most studios build the customer screen and stop. The other sides are where the business actually runs, so we build them together on one design system.

  1. 01

    Rider app

Pickup, vehicle choice, fare, driver card and live trip. Hoppr shows nearby bikes pinging back while it matches.

  2. 02

    Driver app

Step-by-step onboarding with document upload, a duty toggle, trip requests and earnings. Hoppr's captain app adds a helmet check.

  3. 03

    Ops board

A live city map with demand, drivers online, trip issues and SOS alerts in one place.

  4. 04

    Website

Fares, cities, safety and a driver sign-up page that feeds your onboarding queue.

Features Indian customers expect

The must-haves, done properly.

Designed for the phones, networks, languages and payment habits your customers actually have.

  1. 01

    OTP to start the ride

The driver enters a code from the rider's phone, so nobody gets into the wrong vehicle.

  2. 02

    SOS and trip sharing

One tap shares the live trip with family and alerts your safety team.

  3. 03

    UPI and cash fares

UPI deep links and QR for the fare, with cash for riders who prefer it. Wayvero builds a real UPI link per booking.

  4. 04

    Landmark pickups

Pickup points by landmark, not just a pin, because addresses in India are often described that way.

  5. 05

    Driver documents and checks

Licence, RC and photo upload with review status, before a driver goes online.

  6. 06

    Women-only and verified options

Filters and badges that let riders choose who they travel with.

  7. 07

    Offline-safe counters

For rentals, Peakride keeps the counter working with no network and syncs later.

Cost and timeline

10–12 weeks for a first version.

Fixed quote within 48 hours of your brief: scope, timeline and price in writing before we start. These are what move the number.

  • Type of service: on-demand rides, scheduled carpool or rentals
  • Fare logic: per km, surge, shared fares or deposits
  • Live map tracking and how often locations update
  • Driver onboarding and document verification steps
  • Number of cities and languages at launch

Questions

About your taxi booking app.

How much does it cost to build a taxi app in India?

It depends on the service type, fare logic, live tracking and how much driver onboarding you need. Every project gets a fixed quote within 48 hours of your brief, so you know the number before we start. See the app cost guide for what moves it.

Can you build a bike taxi or auto app, not just cabs?

Yes. Our concept build Hoppr is bike-taxi first, with autos as a second option, a captain app with a helmet check, and a live ops board. The same base works for cabs, carpools and rentals. You can open it and try every side.

How long does it take?

A full rider app, driver app, ops board and website usually takes 10 to 12 weeks. A rental or carpool product with simpler matching can be shorter. A two-week concept sprint gets you a clickable prototype to show investors or drivers first.

Will the driver app work on low-cost Android phones?

Yes. Drivers often use older handsets with limited data, so we keep the app light, cache what we can and test on low-end Android phones. Location updates are tuned to save battery during long shifts. Trip requests still arrive when the app is in the background.

Who owns the code and the brand?

You do. The source code, design files and brand system are handed over in full. Your team, or any other developer, can keep building on them. Driver records, trip history and fares stay in your own accounts, so nothing depends on us after launch.

Next · Logistics appLogistics software your dispatchers will thank you for.Booking a truck should be as easy as booking a ride, and the ops team behind it needs a screen that can handle thousands of shipments without slowing down. We build both: the booking and driver apps, and the dense dashboards that run the fleet.
